Commitment
Therapy is an investment of time, energy, and money.
It is a commitment you make to yourself and your therapist to continue showing up and working on your wellbeing.
As your therapist, I dedicate time to think about your goals and progress, I take notes to document our sessions, I may send you monthly superbills, and I share resources with you that I think you may find helpful.
Even when we’re not meeting, I think about you and your life.
Therapy is a very real relationship. It just looks a bit different from your other relationships. That being said, creating a strong therapeutic relationship can help you strengthen and create other meaningful relationships.
Fee Schedule
My standard session rate for individual sessions is $350 for 45 minutes.
I currently have a few lower-fee spots available starting at $200. If it seems like we are a good fit, please schedule a free consult and we can discuss elligibility.
A limited number of lower fee spots may be available to accommodate clients who are unable to afford my standard rate. Priority is given to clients who do not have insurance, are between jobs, and/or have a household income less than $100K and no one else helping them with bills/rent. Both standard rate sessions and lower fee spots may only be taken when there is a good-fit between us otherwise.
Most clients attend sessions on a weekly basis. Sometimes twice a week, sometimes every other week. It depends on your individual treatment goals. I recommend looking into your insurance benefits before your first appointment to see if they cover out-of-network providers. This means that you pay for your sessions out of pocket and your insurance company reimburses you later based on a monthly “superbill” that I can provide you.
I recommend asking your insurance company these 3 questions:
Do I have out-of-network benefits?
If yes, what is my deductible? This is how much you have to pay before your benefits kick in.
How much will you reimburse me for a 45-minute telehealth session? Make sure they cover virtual sessions and make sure you find out if it’s a specific amount (e.g., $50) or a percentages of the session cost (e.g., 50%).
Please note that in order to use your insurance, even if it’s out-of-network, an eligible mental health diagnosis is required that will be part of your medical record. I cannot determine if you will meet criteria for a diagnosis until and unless we meet, sometimes for more than one session.
If you do not meet criteria for an eligible diagnosis or you do not want to use your insurance, you can choose to pay for sessions out of pocket. Session fees are electronically collected the morning of each appointment.
Experience
I have been offering therapy services for over twelve years, and have been fully licensed as a psychologist since 2018. I received post-doctoral training and supervision in two different group practices in Manhattan prior to starting my own. During this time I refined my skills in treating working professionals who struggle with different types of stress and anxiety, and received specialized training and supervision in treating OCD. I am constantly taking additional workshops and trainings, reading books, consulting with colleagues, and meeting with my own therapists and coaches as needed to enhance my skills.
I love supporting ambitious clients who value their mental health and wellbeing and understand that they have the power and responsibility to create change in their lives.
Many of my clients are millennial women who are driven, focused, and often perfectionistic. They tend to be really hard on themselves and set high standards. They also tend to overgive, people-please, and have a hard time setting boundaries that prioritize their own needs.
A lot of my clients also grew up in homes where their emotions weren’t given much attention. It doesn’t mean they weren’t loved or taken care of, but it does mean that they may have felt neglected, isolated, left out, empty, or not good enough, which often contributes to their present-day problems.
The reason I’m sharing this information is because if you resonate with the above, then we may be a good fit in treatment, which would make this a “good investment.” However, if you have different needs, are looking for different kinds of support with other types of concerns or issues, then we may not be a good fit, in which case this may not be the best investment for you. Service
I use evidence-based strategies that have incredible results that my clients are frequently in awe of - because they’re pretty simple when you understand how they work. My approach is strongly rooted in mindfulness and positive psychology. We work collaboratively to leverage your strengths and create a life you love.
I am also very intuitive and can often sense where a client needs to go or the questions they need to answer to get to their goals faster. However, you are the expert on your life. As your therapist, I don’t give advice or tell you what to do, but I do present you with different options, alternative perspectives, and help you decide what choices make the most sense for you.
Clients often tell me that they feel like I can read their minds, like I understand exactly what they’ve been through or what they’re experiencing, and like I give them exactly what they need when they need it.
I put a lot of thought and dedication into my work with clients and respect them deeply. The clients who fully commit to the work are the ones who get the most out of it.
